Finance & Purchasing Administrator
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation based in Nottingham, who are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Finance & Purchasing Administrator to join their team.
This is a varied role supporting both the finance and procurement functions, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers alongside managing purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and administrative tasks.
You will play a key part in ensuring purchase orders, invoices, and financial records are accurate, up to date, and processed in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
1. Raise and process purchase orders in accordance with internal approval procedures
2. Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, deliveries, and queries
3. Track orders and follow up on late or incomplete deliveries
4. Maintain accurate supplier, product, and pricing records
5. Support sourcing activities and general procurement administration
Finance & Accounts Support
6. Match purchase orders to delivery notes and supplier invoices
7. Assist with invoice processing and resolving discrepancies
8. Support accounts payable activities and month-end processes.
9. Assist with basic reporting, cost tracking, and budget monitoring
About You
10. Previous experience in a finance, purchasing, or administrative role is desirable
11. Strong attention to detail with good numerical and organisational skills
12. Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal teams
13. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
15. Experience using finance systems, purchase order systems, or ERP software is an advantage
16. A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
