About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the Assistant Company Secretary will play a pivotal role in supporting board operations, maintaining statutory compliance, and managing corporate governance across group entities. You’ll work closely with prominent board members and contribute to the smooth functioning of a high-performing legal team.

This role requires a proactive team player who is comfortable taking minutes, managing complex documentation, and liaising with notaries and regulatory bodies.


Key Responsibilities

* Arrange meeting agendas and materials for Board and Committee sessions
* Attend meetings and take accurate, professional minutes
* Draft and maintain minutes for group companies
* Coordinate with notaries and legal representatives as needed
* File statutory documents including annual reports, financial statements, and confirmation statements with Companies House
* Monitor compliance for non-UK subsidiaries and ensure timely local filings
* Oversee incorporation of new companies and maintain corporate records
* Ensure group company books are accurate and up to date


Candidate Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

* Proven experience in a company secretarial or governance role
* Strong understanding of UK corporate law and regulatory requirements
* Excellent minute‑taking and documentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple entities and filing obligations
* Confidence in board‑level interactions and stakeholder engagement
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to travel to London for meetings as required
