Overview
The role supports the Managing Director and Executive Directors in growing the commercial arm of MIAA (Solutions) by developing an expanded portfolio of solutions and consultancy services, aligning with workforce transformation and healthcare portfolios. The post holder contributes to corporate strategy, business‑unit planning, and ensures the delivery of services to quality standards, within budget, and meeting revenue targets.
Responsibilities
* Develop and shape overall corporate strategy and Solutions business unit plan.
* Lead resourcing and coordination of Solutions services delivery to clients, maximising synergies and ensuring quality and budget compliance.
* Report monthly on project progress and emerging opportunities.
* Build relationships with prospective clients, gather intelligence, and identify, scope, price and bid for consulting projects.
* Act as primary contact for clients and project consultants, briefing team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Monitor project budgets to meet profit targets and authorise payments.
* Collaborate with delivery, finance, and transformation directors to develop consistent profit models and performance frameworks.
* Recruit, manage a flexible talent pool of MIAA Associates, and coordinate with other organisations (e.g., CIPFA/CIPD) to secure commercial opportunities.
* Design and deliver high‑level presentations on complex issues to executive and senior staff.
* Recruit and develop the expanding network of MIAA associates to meet emerging opportunities.
Qualifications
* Master’s level business qualification.
* Professional CIPD qualification.
* Experience presenting to Boards and Sub‑Committees, influencing decisions beyond fact‑based reporting.
* People‑leadership experience in a large, complex healthcare environment.
* Post‑graduate qualification or evidence of sustained learning and professional development.
* Strong business development acumen and ability to create successful teams.
