Role Overview
Full‑time permanent post in the College of Health and Social Sciences, specifically within the Sociology, Criminology and Policing Subject Group. The role focuses on teaching and supporting learners on the Policing programmes, particularly the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), Diploma in Police Studies and the DHEP (Degree Holder Entry Programme).
Responsibilities
* Teach and support learners on the Policing programmes, primarily the PCDA.
* Potentially supervise undergraduate project and placement students.
* Provide pastoral and academic care as an Academic and Personal Tutor (APT) across the Policing and Criminology programmes.
* Contribute to recruitment and outreach activities such as Open Days during the term.
Qualifications & Expectations
* Well‑rounded individual with practice and/or teaching/training experience.
* Collegial, flexible and able to make a positive contribution to the team.
* All academic staff are expected to have or work toward a post‑graduate higher education qualification.
* Dedicated to providing an outstanding student experience.
Work Placement
The role is based at the modern Frenchay Campus, with approximately 60% of the time spent on campus and the remaining time potentially working from home.
