There has never been a better time to join our established and skilled team within CAMHS. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the further growth and development of crisis care provision for the children and young people across North Wales. These newly developed posts, based within the area of Conwy & Denbighshire in our newly developed Central Hub, will provide caring clinicians with flexibility, autonomy and professional growth and development.
As part of our transformation and development of Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, we are strengthening our leadership, pathways and services to provide a rapid, robust and extended multi-agency crisis response that includes prompt assessment, liaison, consultation, training and, where appropriate, intensive time-limited interventions for children and young people up to the age of 18 who are experiencing an acute mental health and/or psycho-social crisis. The post holder will undertake assessments in A&E, acute wards and other community settings to support rapid crisis response in the least restrictive ways, but also consistent with identified needs, to ensure Young People’s and others’ safety.
The post holder will provide clinical formulation, identifying the young person’s and family’s needs, offer liaison, consultation and intervention to facilitate safe discharge and care planning across partner agencies. There is a requirement to work flexibly across North Wales as the service develops to a 24-hour provision.
