About the Role
* Field-based role covering East of Scotland (primarily the Edinburgh area)
The Area Development Manager role is an entry-level account management position working within a defined group of key accounts at outlet level with IFT.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage daily relationships with key account outlets within the on-trade sector.
* Develop customer base through building relationships at outlet level within multiple retailers.
* Manage existing customer accounts, oversee credit control, and handle administrative duties in line with company policies.
* Achieve business objectives within set timeframes, focusing on sales growth and distribution targets in collaboration with the Key Account Manager.
* Meet or exceed sales targets for assigned customer base alongside the Key Account Manager.
* Promote and sell product portfolio using professional sales techniques and fostering long-term customer relationships to improve brand distribution and sales rate.
* Utilize category knowledge and consumer insights to enhance sales strategies.
* Enhance customer offerings through brand representatives, POS materials, trade events, and promotional activities.
* Show enthusiasm for continuous improvement, increasing market share, and maximizing revenue opportunities while maintaining high customer service standards.
* Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders within the team.
About You
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
* Experience in the beverages or hospitality industry is preferred.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Results-oriented and solutions-focused.
* Excellent prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
* Capable of developing commercial solutions and influencing others effectively.
* Proficient in utilizing category and consumer insights.
