Are you caring, patient, flexible and a good listener?
Can you offer a safe, supportive and nurturing home at short notice and which is time limited?
Do you have the commitment to protect, care for and make a positive difference to a vulnerable child or young person at a time of need who cannot live at home while awaiting a decision of the court?
If the answer is YES we would love to hear from you.
We are recruiting more foster carers to specialise in remand fostering.
We would especially like to hear from people who may have worked with young offenders, including probation or youth justice workers, police and prison officers, youth workers or teachers.
Remand fostering offers a safe family accommodation for alleged young offenders from the age of 10 to 17, while they are awaiting trial or sentencing.
In return you will have support and guidance to become a crucial part of the team which is around the child or young person in your care - alongside workers from Social Care, Fostering, Youth Justice health and education and be rewarded with a generous financial package.
But above all you will have the reward of knowing you made a difference!
