The Role
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service. Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and managing kitchen operations.
* Supervise and inspire kitchen staff to ensure food quality, consistency, and adherence to our standards.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
* Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance kitchen culture.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain food hygiene standards.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen (3+ years).
* Strong understanding of culinary techniques and a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
* Ability to lead a team and effectively manage kitchen operations under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
* Creativity in menu contributions and a willingness to innovate.
* Legal right to work in the UK and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

o £45,000 indicative annual earnings (based on a 48-hour week).
* Hours & rota: full‑time, 5 days over 7 including evenings and weekends; rotas shared in advance.
