The post holder is part of the Faculty Education Administration and Student Experience team who work together in a close network of teams that support all our students. They will also work as part of one or several programme teams incorporating close working with professional services and academic staff.
About the Role
This role is available for UCL Internal candidates only as a fixed term or secondment opportunity for 12 months. You will oversee the work of specialist staff who are supporting designated taught degree programmes, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of the administration. You will lead the team in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the taught degree programmes. Additionally, you will coordinate all tasks relating to the teaching and learning activities of students, from enquiry to completion, including supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student, and programme records. You will directly line manage the staff in your team, engaging fully with the UCL protocols and best practice for inclusive and supportive line management.
About You
You will have a good standard of education to A-level, or equivalent professional experience and bring substantial administrative experience in an education environment. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to review and analyse information and processes, liaise with a variety of people and relate to staff and students in a teaching and learning context. You will be proactive in your ability to work both independently and supervising a team. You will also be able to coordinate priorities, tasks and the team’s workload to meet time-critical schedules whilst maintaining a commitment to high quality service.
