Location: Kettering | Full-Time | On-Site

, We're looking for someone who knows how to sell — not just products, but trust, service, and long-term relationships.

We're your local independent Builders and Timber Merchant, and we've been quietly building something special here in Kettering. Our shelves are getting fuller, our displays are getting smarter, and our customer base is growing. That's where you come in.

We need someone who's sharp, reliable, and genuinely enjoys helping customers get what they need — whether they're a national builder needing products by 3pm, a local builder or a self-Builder figuring out their first project.

This role is based
in-house
, but your impact will reach well beyond the branch.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Taking and processing customer enquiries (face-to-face, over the phone, or via email)
* Producing clear, competitive quotes – fast and accurate
* Converting incoming enquiries into solid sales
* Keeping up strong, friendly relationships with our regulars (and making new ones)
* Working hand-in-hand with our external sales team to hit targets
* Knowing our stock and offers inside out – and helping customers get what they really need

What You'll Need:

* A friendly, confident phone manner and great communication skills
* Sales experience (internal or external), ideally in a builders' merchant or similar trade environment
* A knack for organisation – quotes, orders, follow-ups
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
* Familiarity with
Microsoft Office
and ideally
K8 software
– if not, we'll get you up to speed
* Experience with
building materials
