Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

I am a bubbly, energetic, and friendly young woman who loves expressing myself and staying active in my local community. I enjoy getting out in the car, exploring new places, and taking part in outdoor activities that keep me busy and engaged.

I’m proud of the home I’ve created—especially my sensory room, which helps me relax, self-regulate, and feel calm. I’m building new independent living skills every day and making great progress. I work well with my staff team and really value their support as I continue to learn and grow.

16. Morning: 2 staff
17. Evening: 1 staff
18. Overnight: 1 waking night staff & 1 sleep‑in staff

Sometimes my anxiety can build up and feel overwhelming. When this happens, the support I need is simple but important:

19. Staff who remain calm, grounded, and reassuring
20. Clear communication about what is happening and what to expect
21. Space when I need it, or soothing sensory input to help me settle
22. Staff trained in low‑level holds

I feel safest when staff are patient, supportive, and work with me rather than against me. Building trust and connection helps me stay calm and feel confident in the people around me.

Your values:

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:

- Patience
- Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
- A strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Honesty
- Determination - A problem solver
- Resilience
