If so, we’re looking for someone just like you to join our team as a Support Worker/Personal Assistant.
About the Role:
I am looking for a kind, caring and experienced individual to support my son who is in his early 30’s.
My son loves trips in the car and trips to the countryside, we would also like other activities to be brought into his schedule, he very much loves green spaces and autism friendly spaces where sensory input is tailored to his needs.
He also enjoys going for coffee and cake at the local café and visits to the seaside. He would benefit greatly from increased access to the community. He is also able to walk short distances and requires a wheelchair as needed. This is to provide a comfort and safety element for him.
My son needs support with all aspects of his care and support, and you will learn to recognise my son’s needs and support as such. You will be able to provide guidance, support, reassurance and supervision as needed to ensure his safety within the home and in the community.
He can become overwhelmed by large crowds and certain sensory elements which again you will learn to identify these in advance to reduce any triggers.
In this post you will work as part of a team on a 2:1 basis and on occasion, 1:1.
