Hey — I'm looking for a script writer who actually understands U.S. politics and how political news works on YouTube.
This is for a U.S. politics/news channel, so I'm not looking for general writers or people who "can research anything."
You should already be comfortable in this niche and know how to turn real political events into engaging video scripts people actually watch.
Videos are typically 15–20 minutes, so the writing needs to hold attention the whole way through — strong hook, clear structure, smooth flow, and zero fluff.
What you'd be doing
Writing well-researched, engaging scripts about:
U.S. political news & developments
major political figures / events
policy decisions & controversies
current political narratives
Tone is informative and engaging — not ranty, not biased, not clickbait nonsense.
What I'm looking for
Real experience writing about U.S. politics or news
Understanding of the U.S. political landscape
Ability to research properly (not surface-level summaries)
Writing that flows naturally and keeps viewer attention
Fluent / native-level English
If you've written for political or news YouTube channels before, that's a big plus.
