Job Title: SEN Primary School Teacher (Behaviour Specialist)
Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Start Date: 22nd September 2025
Contract Type: Long-Term
Salary: 160- 220 per day

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs?

An inclusive and nurturing Special Educational Needs (SEN) primary school in St Helens is seeking a committed and skilled SEN Teacher with strong behaviour management skills to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced SEN professional or a mainstream teacher with SEN experience looking to support pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and behavioural challenges.

About the Role:

* Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons for pupils with a range of complex needs.
* Foster a safe, positive learning environment that promotes emotional regulation and resilience.
* Implement and lead on individual behaviour support plans (BSPs) and risk assessments.
* Work collaboratively with TAs, pastoral staff and parents/carers.
* Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management.

What We're Looking For:

* A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in SEN and/or behaviour-focused settings.
* Strong understanding of positive behaviour support, attachment-aware and trauma-informed practices.
* A calm, consistent approach to managing behaviour and promoting emotional well-being.
* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced disruption or trauma.
* A flexible, resilient mindset and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
