The Protective Care Group offers bespoke, tailor-made support services to the families of children or young adults with severe and complex needs. We specialise in providing a level of support that local authorities are often unable to. Ofsted Registered Manager
We’re currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager, or talented people with experience at Deputy Manager or Senior Lead Supervisor who are ready to step up. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our organisation exceeds the regulatory standards set by Ofsted, but there’s much more to it than that, such as:
* Ensuring that the Children’s Home provision meets with required inspection standards under Ofsted and is aligned to all Children’s Homes Regulations.
* To ensure positive outcomes are achieved through the delivery of high-quality support.
* Work alongside the CQC Manager, Field Leadership, Training and Compliance Teams to monitor and plan residential services, and to work on Improvement Plans and overall strategic direction.
* To manage and co-ordinate operational needs and be responsible for ensuring health and safety guidance, policies and procedures are followed by all staff at all times.
* Ensure that all young people have comprehensive, up-to-date, Person Centred Plans.
* To facilitate a safe, homely, welcoming environment for young people and to ensure that privacy, dignity and respect are an integral part of our service offered to the young people.
Lead up to 2 teams which will include:
* Playing an active part in the recruitment process.
* Onboarding and inducting new team members.
* Carrying out supervision, 1-2-1s and appraisals.
* Ensuring teams are supported, motivated, skilled, knowledgeable and happy.
* Manage finances and resources with the teams.
Requirements
About you – Ofsted Registered Manager
Above all, we’re looking for people who are kind and who care. You’ll be an experienced leader with working understanding of relevant legislation and policies, such as Children’s Homes Regulations, Children and Families Act, Social Care Common Inspection Framework, Health and Social Care, Person Centred Planning and Safeguarding.
You’ll ideally have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care. Plus you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s required for the manual and physical side of the care we provide.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday and regular office hours but there might be occasions when you’ll need to cover for other staff so flexibility is key.
