A growing energy storage company is hiring a Head of Sales to lead the commercial strategy for its second life battery energy storage systems. The business has strong backing from major strategic investors and is moving into a phase of industrial scale growth across the UK and Europe.
The Head of Sales will own the sales strategy, develop the customer pipeline, and guide a high performing team. The remit covers leadership, sales process development, customer engagement, and market expansion.
The goal is simple: build a strong commercial engine and increase market share in a fast moving sector.
Responsibilities
• Set and deliver the overall sales strategy
• Drive sales performance to hit revenue targets
• Manage the full pipeline from initial contact to closing
• Use data to evaluate performance and adjust approach
• Represent the business with customers and stakeholders
• Support marketing activity and market positioning
• Ensure a consistent, high quality customer experience
• Lead, develop, and support the sales team
• Build long term customer relationships and expand the network
• Stay current on product updates and industry developments
• Identify new opportunities and emerging markets
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations
Requirements
• Senior sales experience in battery, solar, EV charging, or related sectors
• Strong commercial network and industry knowledge
• Proven ability to lead a successful sales team
• Skilled in negotiation and commercial structuring
• Clear communication and confident presentation skills
• Strong understanding of sales strategy and process discipline
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, scaling environment
• Degree advantageous but not essential
• Experience with second life batteries beneficial but not required
