As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation, management and optimisation of network infrastructure supporting Defence Services. You will work with firewalls, switches, routers, IPS/IDS, cloud networking, and security protocols to make sure of high availability, performance and resilience. This hybrid role will require a minimum onsite presence of 2 days a week in Gosport and the successful candidate will need to complete SC and DV clearance checks before starting in the role with us. What you'll be doing: Deploying and maintaining network architecture. Configuring and managing firewalls and network security systems. Monitoring and optimising network performance. Proactively identify and resolve issues and providing technical support, incident response and root-cause analysis for network faults. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver project requirements. Document network configurations, maintain standards and protocols, support audits and compliance. What you'll bring: Experience in network engineering that demonstrates proficiency in switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs. Experience with network security technologies and practices. Practical exposure to cloud-based networking (Azure, OCI or equivalent). Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent. Knowledge of datacentre operations and hybrid cloud networking.
