Senior Science Technician - Full-Time, Long-Term - Greenwich Secondary School Start Date: Immediate | Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term | Pay: Competitive (Dependent on Experience, via PAYE) Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Greenwich who are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Science Technician to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. As a Senior Science Technician, you will: Oversee the daily running of the science prep room and manage all laboratory equipment and materials. Lead and support a small team of technicians, ensuring practical lessons are prepared efficiently and safely. Prepare and set up experiments in line with the science curriculum. Maintain high standards of health and safety within the department at all times. Liaise closely with teaching staff to coordinate lesson resources and improve practical provision. Manage stock control, ordering supplies, and keeping accurate records of materials and equipment. Maintain and service laboratory equipment, arranging repairs where necessary. Requirements: Previous experience as a Senior or Lead Science Technician in a school environment (essential). Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in a laboratory setting. Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills. Confident supporting a busy science department across all disciplines. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
