As a Healthcare Support Worker on the Cardiothoracic ward you would work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care. You will be expected to fulfil essential care needs for patients, supporting the qualified nursing staff whilst working autonomously in your role.

We are looking for a forward thinking positive and motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team here at the Oxford Heart Centre on Cardiothoracic Ward.

The Cardiothoracic Ward is a 25 bedded unit caring for pre and post-operative cardiac and thoracic patients.

As a Healthcare Support Worker on the Cardiothoracic ward you would work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care. You will be expected to fulfil essential care needs for patients, supporting the qualified nursing staff whilst working autonomously in your role.

We are looking for Healthcare Support Workers with strong values, who are motivated and organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We require an enthusiastic, committed and professional approach to the delivery of care, ensuring the best patient experience.

Candidates should be excellent team players with the ability to use their own judgement to resolve issues. They should be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to work, and a willingness to suggest ideas for improvements. An ability to demonstrate compassion and a commitment to learn how to deliver high standards of patient care.
