Richard Drake Contracting Limited, a reputable haulage, plant hire and groundworks firm, is seeking a dedicated HGV Driver to join our team. You will play a crucial role in transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This is local day shift work and you will return to the yard each day.
Duties:
* Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
* Load and unload cargo following proper safety procedures.
* Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules.
* Communicate with staff and customers to coordinate deliveries.
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications:
* Valid HGV driver's licence with a clean driving record.
* Proven experience as a HGV Driver, preferably with experience in hookloader wagon driving.
* Knowledge of safe driving practices and regulations.
* Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented approach.
