My client is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.
They are looking to expand their team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. The project work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape.
The project requires a Quality Engineer to support the implementing, maintaining and improvement of the Project Management System providing support and advice to the Project team on quality management matters.
You will be required to interpret and advise on quality system requirements for the Project while utilising quality management tools and techniques to promote continuous improvements throughout the Project team. You will coordinate with the Client’s quality management team and undertake internal project audits and supplier audits as and when necessary.
This role requires you to have previous experience of working as a Section Engineer as a minimum and preferably working towards membership to the Chartered Quality Institute and successful completion of lead auditor course (5 day) for ISO 1.
You must have a thorough understanding of civil engineering construction methodology and a detailed knowledge of assurance and management system issues and a good understanding of process mapping techniques.
Strong practical knowledge and expertise in the implementation and on-going development of management systems, based on recognised standards such as ISO 1, ISO or BS OHSAS is beneficial for this role.
