Weare seeking a motivated, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in afast-paced environment. The appointed individual will provide administrativesupport to colleagues and the clinical team, and help to deliver a highstandard of service. They will be responsible for patient reception services,supporting patients in accessing and attending the service in an efficientmanner, and be a friendly, welcoming, and helpful representative of ourdepartment and the NHS.

Job responsibilities
Process patientcorrespondence/documentation, letters, reports and other documentation.
To greet patients and visitors tothe department, providing an efficient and courteous service
Check/enter patient details on thePatient Administration and other Systems.
Prepare patient documentation forprocessing, including inputting or scanning
Report and respond to any systemfaults and errors.
Maintain and updatepatient/departmental databases, prioritising within departmental guidelinesand escalating unresolved situations/issues to appropriate line manager
Answer general telephone enquiriesand requests to retrieve patient and other documentation.
To ensure that requests forinformation are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
Follow Departmental/Trust disposaland destruction procedures of confidential documentation, in line with DataProtection Act and Confidentiality.
Collect and deliver patientdocumentation/reports around Trust when required.
To deal with telephone andin-person queries from patients and relatives, Trust staff and externalagencies.
To refer queries or concernsregarding patients and other visitors to the department to appropriate seniorstaff.
Assisting to maintain highstandards of care, including:-
Maintain a safe working environment,reporting incidents, accidents, complaints
Understand the need to maintain andrespect patient confidentiality
Participate in in-service training
Participate in mandatory trainingannually
Participate in annual performanceappraisal
Visit and/or work at otherdesignated Trust sites as required ensuring continuity of service/patientcare.
General office work and any otherduties assigned by the Supervisor/Team Leader or Manager, which may include:-
maintainappropriate/agreed levels of stock and non-stock items, including stationery.
maintaindiaries for senior staff.
