Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach with a passion for using sport to engage and support primary school students, particularly those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) requiring behaviour support? We are seeking a motivated Sports Coach who can combine their coaching expertise with skills in behaviour management to provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with specific behavioural needs outlined in their EHCPs/IEPs. You will play a key role in using sport as a tool for positive engagement, skill development, and improved behaviour.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging and inclusive sports coaching sessions to secondary school students, adapting activities to meet individual needs and abilities, particularly those with EHCPs/IEPs.
2. Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to identified students during sports activities and potentially within other school settings, following the guidelines of their EHCP/IEP.
3. Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions within a sporting context.
4. Use sport as a positive outlet to promote self-regulation, teamwork, communication, and resilience in students with behavioural challenges.
