Job summary UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker to join the Substance Misuse team at HMP Kirkham, a Category D open prison for males, located near Preston, Lancashire. HMP Kirkham is a unique environment, with stunning grounds and lots to offer both staff and patients, including our brand new, state of the art gym. This is a brand new, fantastic opportunity to join the team, and really make the role your own! No 2 days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment. Hours: This is a part time role, working 22.5 hours per week. Shifts are between 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. We can be flexible on shift patterns and will discuss at screening and interview stage. Salary: This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary of up to £29,723 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you? Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks Main duties of the job As our new Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include: Be the face of the team - acting as the first point of contact for patients Be visible onsite, getting to know patients and identifying areas for improvement, issues etc Assist with support groups and assessments - groups include psychosocial, CBT, art workshops and meditation Data inputting - ensuring that patient records are accurate and up to date Work alongside the Nursing Associate and Patient Engagement Lead If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
