As a HLTA, your daily duties will be to guide the students and ensure they are all supported in the classroom. You will learn about their individual needs and adapt your approach in the classroom to suit them. You will also take on extra responsibilities, including covering lessons and collaborating with the SENCO to implement appropriate individual education plans (IEPs) for students. This Specialist School has excellent sensory provisions for the pupils and also has a big push on building independent living skills! Previous experience working as a TA is necessary.
