Overview
Our client is currently looking for two Operations / Waste Plant Operatives to work for a local company based in Corby. Hours are Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00. Overtime is available. These roles are permanent.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate the site in line with legislation, planning permissions, permits, health and safety, plant manuals and documents.
* Maintain site cleanliness and company standards at all times.
* Operate waste processing plant.
* Work in line with all site Health and Safety Procedures.
* Ensure the efficient processing of waste materials received.
* Follow specified guidelines to produce customer feedstock.
* Work effectively as part of a team.
* Maintain the site's performance against production targets.
* Monitor process plant performance using the SCADA system, including batch feeding, preparation, and adjustments.
* Basic maintenance of plant assets, fault identification and reporting.
* Sampling of all onsite process streams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety of the plant.
* Identify process faults and plant asset breakdowns.
* Accept and facilitate tanker deliveries of waste streams.
* Other duties as required.
* All training provided.
Skills
* The capability to learn process plant engineering.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Basic maintenance/mechanical skills.
* Experience of operating either agricultural or plant machinery would be advantageous.
* Ability to follow instructions with a keen eye for detail.
* Knowledge of AD/biogas/feedstock production is beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills and a personable manner.
* Computer literacy is essential — must be able to complete spreadsheets, emails and operate the SCADA system.
* Forklift experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience
* Waste Processing Plant Operative: 1 year experience would be beneficial but not essential.
* Experience in an industrial related field, such as wastewater or recycling, waste transfer station would be highly desirable but not essential.
