Overview
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and be willing to learn and expand on your knowledge. This role offers opportunities to engage in activities with residents and contribute to safe, happy, and fulfilling lives.
Base pay range
Hours: 40
Salary: £12.85 to £13.05 Hour
The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Flexible patterns may be available.
Key duties
* Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Executing tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
* Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
* Assisting residents in their daily activities in or away from the home
* Using your initiative when supporting residents during activities and day-to-day tasks

Parkwood Lodge is a large, detached home near Waterlooville, supporting seven adults with mental health conditions and related needs. The home has 24-hour residential support and a Positive Behaviour Support Team, with various activities and transport for trips.
