Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Mental Health Practitioner within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Central CAMHS, Norwich.
We work with children, young people (0-14 years) and their families, providing consultation, training, mental health assessment and short-term therapeutic interventions. We are reviewing our ways of working to be needs-led, outcome-informed and accessible for the young people within Norfolk and Waveney, with opportunities to provide specialist mental health care in a creative and innovative way informed by THRIVE principles.
Responsibilities
* Provide mental health assessments and goal-focused, evidence-based interventions to young people experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
* Offer mental health assessments and be part of the Duty Clinician rota for urgent response, in addition to managing your own caseload.
* Carry out risk assessment, develop formulation, and work collaboratively with young people and their families.
* Work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team (Psychology, Occupational Health, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing) and collaborate with colleagues across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience working with children and young people is desirable, but we welcome applicants from clinical backgrounds with other mental health experience.
* Ability to bring a wealth of skills and be open to new ways of thinking.
* Experience of risk assessment, understanding of formulation, and collaborative working with families.
