Job Description:
The delivery of the Westinghouse UK Fuel Growth Program is essential to the future nuclear fuel products for all current and future reactor types and is a fundamental part of the UK Government’s Nuclear Roadmap and Net Zero 2050 commitment. The portfolio is fundamental to the Westinghouse UK Fuel long-term strategy and essential for the growth of Springfields Fuels site.
We are looking to recruit a new Nuclear Material Accountant (NMA) within the Safeguards team at Springfields.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Working closely with CMSD, NNL and EURRP personnel (as a minimum)
* Maintaining NM Accounts
* Ensuring compliance with the Safeguards regulations
* Working closely with the ONR in terms of regular reporting, quarterly meetings, audits and assessments etc
* Carrying out compliance audits and stocktaking across site
Skills And Competencies
* Be numerate, have great attention to detail, be a problem solver and have a questioning attitude
* Be organised, a good communicator and a team player
* Prepare, analyse, consolidate, report, present data / information
* Work closely with plant and laboratory personnel
* Interact on a regular basis with the ONR
Full training would be given on-the-job.
Useful experience would include:
* Working on plant / with plant personnel
* Working with regulators / auditors
* Working on NUMIS
* MS products, specifically Excel
