Overview
Clackmannanshire Council are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified Children & Families Senior Practitioner within their localities to support the provision of good outcomes for children and young people. This post requires the applicant to be a qualified, experienced social worker registered with the SSSC. The post involves carrying a complex caseload (Child Protection cases/statutory cases), mentoring staff (including NQSW) and may include throughcare/aftercare cases as well as managing family support workers. The service believes in strength-based relational Social Work and addressing behaviours linked to trauma and compromised child/parental relationships and capacity.

* Apply strength-based relational social work to address behaviours linked to trauma and relational difficulties.

EssentialQualifications
* Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS.
* Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
* Up-to-date understanding of key issues and theoretical background facing professional children and families social workers, particularly related to child protection and looked after children.

Clackmannanshire Council is a living wage accredited employer. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join or update your PVG Scheme prior to a formal offer. Further guidance will follow in your conditional offer.
