A manufacturer and distribution business in Leicestershire is looking for a Site Logistics and Security Coordinator to manage the safe and efficient operation of its site. The role is central to controlling site access, managing vehicle movements, and coordinating between drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
The position is based in the yard office and requires a proactive individual with a strong focus on safety and organisation.
Key responsibilities
1. Act as Banksman for all vehicle movements on site
2. Carry out duties as First Aider and Fire Warden
3. Ensure all visitors, contractors, and drivers report in and are signed in correctly
4. Enforce Health and Safety and PPE requirements
5. Control and manage vehicle and pedestrian movements within the yard
6. Coordinate between external drivers and internal loading teams
7. Manage traffic flow and signpost vehicles to designated waiting areas
8. Carry out gate checks for external drivers once trained
9. Act as site keyholder
10. Operate site security systems including ANPR and CCTV
