3 months contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• The Care Worker will provide care and support to vulnerable adults with assessed care needs in line with the Care Act 2014.
• The role involves working night shifts across Piggs Corner Sheltered Accommodation Complex in Grays and Collins House Residential Home in Corringham, supporting residents with personal care, medication, food and fluid intake, transfers, and social inclusion.
• The worker will contribute to delivering a safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led service in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Deliver personal care, including toileting, bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility and transfers.
• Administer medication and support residents with food and fluid intake.
• Promote social inclusion and provide emotional support to residents.
• Work flexibly across multiple sites to cover required shifts, primarily night shifts.
• Ensure care provision aligns with assessed care packages and the Care Act 2014.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
• Support compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards for safe and effective care.
Skills/Experience:
• Experience in social care or supporting vulnerable adults (preferred but not always essential for non-qualified roles).
• Knowledge of personal care, medication administration, and care planning.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and cover multiple sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
• Data Protection Level 1 training (desirable).

• PAYE: £12.21 per hour / Limited/Umbrella: £15.75 per hour.
