Research Fellow in Computer Vision for Multimodal Medical Imaging
Join to apply for the Research Fellow in Computer Vision for Multimodal Medical Imaging role at University of Leeds.
The project focuses on developing AI systems to enhance healthcare by integrating multimodal data for early cancer detection and patient risk stratification. The candidate will work with endoscopic and whole-slide imaging (WSI) data, creating novel computer vision methods to improve decision-making. Collaboration with computational scientists, pathologists, and clinical experts will be integral.
The initial phase involves developing state-of-the-art methods for WSI and endoscopy separately, then combining these approaches to improve clinical outcomes. The algorithms will be used to build a prognosis platform, exploring innovative solutions to current limitations.
You will be a leading researcher in Dr. Sharib Ali’s group, focusing on computer vision applications in medicine and surgery, with opportunities for collaboration with Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.
We are open to flexible working arrangements.
