The School Business Manager is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial, administrative, HR and operational functions of the school. The role requires a highly organised, strategic and proactive professional who can ensure that the school runs smoothly, safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include managing the school budget, monitoring financial processes, overseeing procurement, liaising with contractors, supporting payroll and HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, managing premises and maintenance, and providing accurate reports to the Headteacher and Governing Body. The School Business Manager will also support staff recruitment, oversee administrative teams, manage contracts, lead health and safety procedures and contribute to long-term financial planning.
The ideal candidate will be confident, efficient and skilled in managing complex operations within a school context. They will work closely with teaching staff, support staff, governors and external agencies to ensure the highest standards across all operational areas.

• Proven experience in school business management, finance or operations leadership
