Job Description
Value Match is seeking to appoint a North East based Procurement Manager/Specialist to join their growing procurement team on a permanent basis. This role offers hybrid working (with a requirement to be on site with clients 2-3 days a week or as needed), with a salary of £40-45K depending on experience.
We are looking for a driven individual who can support the delivery of procurement solutions and build effective relationships with both customers and suppliers. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in public sector procurement, working across various categories and projects.
You will join an existing procurement team with a strong focus on ethical and sustainable supply, providing effective solutions to our customers within the education sector.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end procurement process on behalf of the customer.
2. Collaborate with the wider procurement team to deliver tailored solutions.
3. Build and maintain supplier relationships, guiding them through onboarding and engaging regularly to understand their service offerings.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in the public sector.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* CIPS qualification or equivalent experience.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop effective solutions.
* Stakeholder engagement skills and solution-oriented mindset.
* Understanding of Social Value and how to embed it through procurement.
* Knowledge of PCRs with a willingness to learn and adapt to new legislation.
* Awareness of compliance, sustainability, and social value considerations.
* Ability to work efficiently under conflicting priorities.
* Understanding of upcoming changes to procurement regulations is advantageous.
* Full UK driving licence and own transport are advantageous.
