Project Officer (Fixed Term until November 2027)
We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Officer to support the delivery of key strategic programmes across the Wirral. The role is conducted on a hybrid basis with an expectation of one day per week at the Wirral Development Office (Mallory) and occasional travel to other regional offices as required.
About the Role
The Project Officer will work closely with Programme Managers to support a range of projects and commissioning workstreams. Key responsibilities include planning, coordination and progress tracking for programmes, organising meetings and workshops, maintaining project trackers, preparing briefings and carrying out research to support decision‑making. The role also offers the opportunity to take ownership of smaller projects, driving delivery, managing risks and ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
Responsibilities

* Coordinate with Programme Managers and stakeholders across health and children’s services.
Qualifications
* Organised, proactive and a strong communicator.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Confident working with stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
* Flexible, solutions‑focused approach to project support.
* Knowledge of health and/or children’s services is essential.
* Previous experience in project or programme support and coordination.
