Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP), operating from our
Hatfield office near London. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to business
leaders, driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives, enhance team culture, and support organizational growth across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Strategic HR Partnership:
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business goals
Support organizational design and workforce planning initiatives across multiple countries
Understand the commercial and business operations and support in creating the organizational talent strategy accordingly
B. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and finalize recruitment plans
Lead and support recruitment efforts to attract and retain high-quality talent
Work with various service partners across multiple markets
Streamline hiring processes and candidate on-boarding experience
Gather organizational insights, what’s working and what’s not working to help and support in talent retention
C. Employee Relations and Compliance:
Manage complex employee relations cases ensuring compliance with UK, German and Spanish employment law and company policies
Provide guidance and resolution support to managers and employees on HR-related issues
D. Performance and Development:
Drive performance management programs, including appraisals, feedback, and development plans
Drive consistency of timelines, parameters involved in performance appraisal
Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
Actively drive an engaging talent agenda for the Europe business
E. Culture and Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes engagement and collaboration
Lead employee engagement activities and diversity and inclusion initiatives
F. Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions and regions
Influence and advise senior management on HR matters and organizational changes
G. Data and Analytics:
Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve business outcomes
Provide regular reporting to leadership on workforce insights
H. Change Management:
Support business transformation initiatives by managing change and ensuring smooth transitions
Facilitate communication and training related to organizational changes
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification is mandatory
Proven experience in talent recruitment and stakeholder management
Experience driving team culture and employee engagement
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-country, multicultural environment
Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices
Operating from the Hatfield office (London)
Agile, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with significant time spent in an HR Business Partner role
Experience working in multicultural set-ups
Multilingual skills, if possible – preferably Spanish and/or German, in addition to English
Prior experience working in a global matrix organization
