Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Contract: Flexible (Day-to-Day / Short-Term / Long-Term)
Salary: £92 – £110 per day
Are you a supportive, adaptable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work? GSL Education are currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools in York.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a variety of settings, develop your skills, and make a real difference to pupils with diverse needs.
About the Role:
* Provide classroom support across a range of year groups and settings.
* Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils, including those with SEN.
* Support pupils with additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Adapt to different schools and student needs with confidence.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable experience).
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Confidence supporting behaviour and engagement.
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
