With a strong reputation for delivering a personal, high quality service, they combine traditional values with modern cloud based solutions and offer a supportive, team focused working environment.The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join a growing and dynamic practice. You'll take ownership of your own client portfolio, playing a key role in keeping their finances accurate, organised and up to date. Working closely with both clients and senior team members, you'll be at the heart of day to day financial operations while contributing to the firm's continued growth.Key Responsibilities
* As Part Time Bookkeeper, you will be taking ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring their bookkeeping is accurate, up to date and well managed
* Processing financial transactions efficiently using cloud based accounting systems
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with deadlines and compliance requirements
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing support via phone and email
* Supporting and contributing to the development of Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes within the practice
* Maintaining clean and accurate records up to trial balance level
* Collaborating with senior team members to support management accounts and wider financial reporting
* Managing your own workload effectively, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a Bookkeeping role
* Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Sage Business Cloud, Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent
* Experience working with a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Confident communication skills with a professional and approachable manner
* A positive, team oriented attitude and willingness to support others
