Salary: £14ph or DOE

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, practical, and enthusiastic Caretaker to join our friendly primary school team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and closing the school premises as required
Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and minor DIY tasks
Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and secure
Managing health and safety checks, including fire alarms and risk assessments
Overseeing cleaning staff or contractors where applicable
Preparing rooms and facilities for school events and activities
Monitoring site security and responding to alarms or emergencies
Managing deliveries and stock of maintenance supplies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous caretaking, maintenance, or site management experience (desirable)
Practical DIY and maintenance skills
A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
The ability to work independently and use initiative
An understanding of health and safety procedures
