Job Description:
Sterlings is currently partnered with an Investment Bank based in the City of London, seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join their team.
The Business Analyst will work on finance-specific projects across the bank's technology function, gathering requirements and compiling formal business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
The Business Analyst will support project managers and business partners with SME and problem-solving skills, building positive collaborative relationships with technology, change managers, and business stakeholders.
This role offers scope for progression and development, with projects spanning UK, EMEA, and internal initiatives.
Skills and Experience
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral
* Proven delivery track record, capable of leading finance and data initiatives
* Confidence and gravitas to interact with senior managers
* Business analysis experience in banking or consultancy
* Understanding of project lifecycle, including proposal, scope, requirements, and testing documentation
* Experience with regulatory capital and liquidity metrics such as LCR and SA-CC, and familiarity with UK and EMEA regulations like EMIR, MiFID, MiFIR, IFRS9, BCBS239
* Knowledge of financial reporting, month-end processes, P&L accounting, and financial adjustments
* Understanding of subledger and general ledger applications beneficial
* Working knowledge of financial investment products such as Vanilla IR & CR
