GEM are working with a global automotive organisation to recruit a number of Fork Lift Drivers for their facility in Newton Aycliffe. Duties
* Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move goods safely
* Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas
* Transport goods to designated storage locations within a warehouse or site
* Stack and organize products in racks, shelves, or pallets
* Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is safe and operational
* Follow workplace safety rules and procedures
* Keep accurate records of inventory movements and deliveries
* Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, labelling, and stock checks
* Report damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors
Experience and knowledge
* Valid forklift operator certification/licence
* Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
* Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
* Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills
* Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
* Physical fitness and attention to safety
Additional Information
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Hours of work: Monday to Friday
* Days - 7am-3pm
* Backs – 3pm-11pm
* Nights 11pm - 7am
Rates of pay:
* Days - £12.65 per hour
* Backs - £15.18 per hour
* Nights - £17.17 per hour
