Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn to read and interpret technical drawings.
2. Follow safety protocols and ensure that parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
3. Learn about and perform tasks such as cutting, shaping, drilling, grinding, and polishing materials.
4. Learn to set up, operate, and maintain machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment.
5. Ensure parts are made to precise specifications and tolerances.
6. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
7. Perform routine maintenance.
8. Understand quality control and inspection methods.
9. Verify dimensions and quality of the components being produced.
This role combines hands-on experience with formal learning, allowing the apprentice to gain a deep understanding of machining processes, techniques, and tools used to manufacture precision parts and components.
