Hours
173 hours per month. Long shift working 8am-11pm (with sleep nights). 365 day a year service with rota given in advance.
Pay rate
£13.45 to £13.75 per hour depending on qualifications, with average of 8 sleeps per month. Opportunities to pick up extra shifts / overtime at an enhanced rate.
Essential requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Over 21 years of age, right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered)
* Must pass Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices.
Role
Kingfisher is a three-bedroom children’s home providing crisis intervention and trauma‑informed therapeutic care. The role involves:
* Providing high‑quality residential care to young people.
* Supporting children’s wellbeing and facilitating participation in recreational activities tailored to their interests (e.g., cinema, swimming, sports).
* Assisting in the implementation of therapeutic plans and ensuring a safe, supportive environment.
* Maintaining accurate and confidential records, participating in multidisciplinary meetings.
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
