Are you passionate about languages and culture, with the drive to inspire young people to achieve in French? A welcoming secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Teacher of French to join their successful MFL department.
French is a popular subject within the school, with strong uptake at GCSE and a growing interest at A-Level. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, creative lessons that build both linguistic confidence and cultural awareness.
What you’ll be doing:
* Teaching French across KS3–KS5 (GCSE and A-Level experience desirable).
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
* Supporting students in exam preparation, coursework, and progression to higher levels of study.
* Contributing to the development of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.
* Taking part in cultural and enrichment activities such as trips, language clubs, or exchange programmes.
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with a degree in French or a related subject.
* Experience teaching French at KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable).
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for French language and culture.
* A reflective practitioner who inspires, challenges, and supports learners of all abilities.
