As a Paediatric Staff Nurse in the Outpatient department, you'll be working as a skilled member of the nursing team, providing a high standard of holistic family centred care to children, young adults and families. Assessing children's nursing needs, taking into account their medical, social, cultural and family circumstances. Key responsibilities: Care for and support children and young people and work alongside their families in conjunction with other healthcare professionals within The Wellington Hospital To participate in implementation of policies for paediatrics services To participate in setting up of new services for paediatrics within HCA Elstree and WDOC Safeguarding link of paediatrics and children within the TWH Participate in risk assessments for the service Participate in audits to ensure the safe delivery of care To support and be actively involved in the adult outpatient services, especially when there are no paediatric patients in the facility To work as part of the outpatient team, in the adult and paediatric mixed environment, helping to support the cleanliness of the environment and flow of clinics for all patients. What you'll bring: Registered Children's Nurse - with valid NMC pin (children's register) Minimum of at least 6 months' experience post registration experience in the UK Awareness of Child Protection issues - Safeguarding level 3 training essential Paediatric ILS mandatory Phlebotomy trained (desirable) Prior experience in paediatric outpatients (desirable) Why HCA UK?
