Role Overview:

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial lawyer specializing in technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. The role involves providing practical, business-oriented legal advice globally.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide legal support on various legal and regulatory issues for a global organization.
* Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related matters, supporting daily commercial and regulatory legal activities.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across jurisdictions and network policies.
* Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal expertise.
* Develop and implement governance policies, procedures, and playbooks.
* Review and advise on new services, solutions, and governance processes concerning technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI.
* Manage external legal counsel across jurisdictions efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Provide practical, risk-aware advice aligning with business objectives.
* Deliver presentations and author articles on legal topics.
* Mentor and support junior team members.
About You:
* UK-qualified lawyer (or equivalent) with significant experience at a major law firm or relevant in-house experience.
* Expert legal skills with the ability to handle complex legal and regulatory issues.
* Strong risk management and strategic thinking skills, with quick issue identification and mitigation recommendations.
* Proficiency in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex files.
* Capable of balancing legal risk management with business growth needs.
* Self-motivated, thriving in a fast-paced, global environment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
