An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s inpatient dynamic team in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients, conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing and managing a range of mental health conditions. You will provide clinical leadership within the community mental health team, ensuring adherence to relevant Trust policies and processes. Your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, offering specialist advice, conducting ward rounds and managing ward jobs, reviewing patient cases and providing feedback, attending relevant patient meetings, and participating in clinical audits and research activities. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring continuity of care for patients transitioning between services.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Experience in Adult Psychiatry
* Section 12 MHA approval is required
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
