Music Peripatetic Teacher

Burntwood School is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Music Peripatetic Teacher to join our vibrant and successful Performing Arts Education cluster.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instrumental tuition to students across a range of abilities, from beginner level through to advanced study.
They will play an important role in supporting students’ musical development, preparing pupils for graded examinations, performances and coursework, and contributing to the wider musical life of the school.
While applications are welcomed from teachers of all instrumental specialisms, for this particular recruitment campaign we are especially interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in brass and string instruments.
These areas form an important part of our current instrumental provision and ensemble programme, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students to develop their performance skills and participate in school ensembles and concerts.
Our school achieves excellent GCSE, BTEC and A level results with large numbers of students going on to university. The successful applicant will build on the successes of the Performing Arts cluster area and ensure that students continue to thrive in the subjects and are confidently prepared for the next stage of education.
