Assistant/Associate Professor (34590-0825)
The Warwick Mathematics Institute invites applications for the post of Assistant or Associate Professor, to start in September 2026. Applications are welcomed in all areas of pure and applied mathematics; those working in more applied areas with real‑world applications are particularly encouraged.
Associate Professorships are permanent appointments and typically for those who already have a well‑established track record in research and significant lecturing experience. Assistant level appointments include a five‑year probationary period to enable candidates to fulfil the criteria for promotion to Associate Professor.
About The Role
All applicants should hold a PhD and have demonstrated excellence and independence in research along with an ability to teach effectively. The successful candidate will make a strong contribution to both research and teaching, working within a lively and vibrant departmental culture.
About The Department
The Warwick Mathematics Institute is internationally recognised for its research and produces some of the best undergraduates in the UK. The department runs a range of weekly seminar series, workshops and conferences, and supports the career development of staff through promotion pathways from Assistant Professor to Reader and Full Professor.
